It's An Obama Nation

i wrote this two weeks ago but didn't have the heart to publish; my depression just couldn't keep up with the day-to-day realities of our brave new world, so i thought i'd just bide my time and bite my tongue in the hopes that the sun would rise, redder and rosier and more resplendent than ever .... but it didn't and and it wasn't going to and i was going to hang it all up until a friend abjured me to write because--and for the life of me i can't understand why; she's otherwise quite intelligent--she thought i had something to say which i always have something to say even though it's mostly nonsensical but i'll heed her call and i'll print this and then i'll go on and write something else in the hopes that it'll be good even though it never has been before so here's what didn't get printed two weeks ago and it's bitter late than never .....

oh dear diary! so much has happened that i just don't know where to start! why, we have a new president! and he can speak english! maybe we haven't stopped torturing all the taxi drivers and goatherds we kidnapped, but the american people are no longer subjected to having their ears tortured by some cretinous retard choking on his tongue ..... i didn't watch the entire inaugural pageant, but i did get to watch the swearing in part; you know me--reluctant to jump on the joy bandwagon but ..... i was moved by close-ups of tears running down black faces, but then .... america's always given black people lots to cry about .... it's not so much that i see the glass as half empty rather than half full; it's that i think some republican's used his tiny ulcerated dick as a swizzle stick, but still--it's clear that a sea change has occurred, and i hope it keeps occurring ....

other areas are more entrenched and intransigent; speaking of tiny shrivelled dicks and cankerous assholes, republicans are like crab lice: a constant irritant, hard to get ride of .... a recent new york times article states that:

"Republicans plan to test President Barack Obama’s commitment to bipartisanship as his $825 billion stimulus package heads to the floor of the House of Representatives this week, with the House Republican leader saying Sunday morning that many in his party will vote no unless there are significant changes to the plan.

“Right now, given the concerns that we have over the size of this package and all of the spending in this package, we don’t think it’s going to work,” the House Minority Leader John A. Boehner, Republican of Ohio, said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “And so if it’s the plan that I see today, put me down in the no column.”

Senator McCain, who lost the presidential election to Mr. Obama in November, said that he planned to vote no unless the bill were changed.

“We need to make tax cuts permanent, and we need to make a commitment that there’ll be no new taxes,” Mr. McCain said. “We need to cut payroll taxes. We need to cut business taxes.”"

language is so critical to shaping thought and opinion, wouldn't you say? and i say that even though we had a figurehead in office who'd choke on his tongue while formulating the most rudimentary sentences, cognitive statements my four-year-olds would sail through, the new york times perpetuates mis- and dis-information with their "obama's commitment to bipartisanship ...." excuse me, but what does bipartisanship mean these days? we've had eight years in which bipartisanship consisted of democrats rolling over and fawning at the republicans' feet; is that what constitutes bipartisanship? it seems like it's only bipartisan when the democrats go along with republicans, whereas republicans? still cretinous, still retarded, still mouthing the same, tired old aphorisms, pushing concepts that have been utterly discredited by history, by fact, and by intelligent people, and yet the new york times doesn't comment that john mccain--who lost the election--continues the blathering cant and tired rhetoric of permanent tax cuts, something that's almost as old and as useless and as idiotic as he is, something that our current economic depression puts the lie to, drivel that needs to be repudiated and ... and .... and ....

how many times can a body say, fuck you, you fucking assholes; you lost the election; you couldn't steal this one, now you're the dog, here's the bone, crawl on the fucking floor and SUCK MY FUCKING BONE!

i'[m sorry, mrs. butterworth; that just slipped out .... i don't know where it came from and YOU FUCKING ASSHOLES THE AMERICAN PEOPLE VOTED YOU OUT BECAUSE THEY KNOW YOU SUCK SATAN'S COCK AND HAVE DEFECATED IN THE FUCKING MOUTH OF BEAUTY AND .... oh my GOD! .... it happened AGAIN!

honey, have you seen my meds?

buy-partisan, my fucking ass .... i'm sick of hearing it and i'm sick of it being held out as something that democrats must do to keep republicans happy or jesus won't come back and attend the easter egg hunt and egg rolling competition on the white house lawn or something and ..... there's something else that grabbed my attention in the new york times, and that was bob woodward telling barack obama the ten lessons he should learn from the bush presidency, based on .... ha ha .... mistakes bush made .....

could you hear me shrieking? only ten? ONLY TEN? woodward, you're such a fucking asshole; i remember when woodward had credibility, but then ... i remember when the press had credibility, too .... weren't we just speaking of fawning dogs? oh, the press had a good old time, trashing democrats and sucking up to republicans; they trashed kerry, they trashed edwards, they sniped at bill and hillary, but bush got a free pass until ... until .... until the end of his tenure and suddenly everyone jumped on the "hey he wasn't such a great guy after all and he made some mistakes like katrina and did you know that there weren't any weapons of mass destruction in iraq even though we were assured there were and the war over there isn't going all that great but we don't want to mention over four thousand americans dead let alone a million iraqis or the four million refugees or the trillion dollars that went down the shithole into the pockets of corporations that contributed to the rnc" bandwagon .....

jesus; what's it like to be such a shameless butt-licking asshole? i simply can't imagine ....

ain't america great? you can be a slobbering mongoloid who couldn't engage in rudimentary rectal hygiene with a belt sander and a firehose, but you'll keep your job on the editorial panel of the new york times or washington post; you'll have a sinecure as a tv factotum; people who are just as stupid as you are will continue printing your comments so you can encourage stupidity in a readership, and i pity the fool who would gainsay or deny any of this ..... what about you? me, i sure want to listen to people who have consistently been proven wrong; i'm sure they're budget mavens, judging by what they've done to the country; i'm sure they have all our best interests at heart and will improve our quality of life just like they've done for the iraqi people and the afghan people and those fine folk down in n'orleens these are the folks i want to listen to because they've done so good with everything and why doesn't the new york times run a headline like "REPUBLICANS SUCK ASS" or "THE RIGHT IS ALWAYS WRONG" or "JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

in the meantime, i'm not holding my breath; it's nice that we have a different face in the white house but i'm concerned; i'm concerned that obama's been the palimpsest upon which we've all projected our dreams and that in no time at all we'll be back at the same old silliness, things like sending lots of troops to afghanistan; cutting business taxes, defunding education .... i guess i'm hoping that the obama nation doesn't become ....

an abomination ....
